Over and Under

There are some days when I just feel like everything overwhelms me. I have so much to do that I can't do anything. I had that day on Monday. Then Tuesday rolled around and I was gaining a little bit of momentum. By Wednesday, I had put myself on a strict To Do list with specific times when things had to be done. And you know what? The structure actually worked. I got everything that I wanted to done, plus minor things that I squeezed in when there were small gaps.

Now I have to mention that some things on my timed to do lists are a little stupid. Today I had a break from 1:15 to 1:45 where I played Animal Crossing.  Between 1 and 1:15, I was eating lunch. Sometimes I just had an odd gap (which i normally don't) but between "Go to bank" and "Review CD" I had a 30 minute gap, so I went to Staples and shopped the clearance section. I bought a file cabinet thing for $20.50, marked down from $80. Now I have to decide where it is going.

Anywho, what's the point of this post? Well, sometimes life can get to you. My way of dealing with it is by planning, making lists, and giving myself some time to breathe in intervals of the day. Whether that means vision breaks away from the computer monitor or stress breaks from working, I allot time there.
