My Top 30 Songs of 2009 – Number 5

5) The Veronicas - Untouched

The thing about "Untouched" was the fact that the song came very early in 2009, so it would clearly be looked over for many people. The song was originally out in 2007 and slowly gained momentum until it peaked at 17 on the Billboard charts. I love it's heavy pop-rock driven beat and I appreciate any song that adds a string section.

The lyrics are horribly catchy and obscure (I go Ooh-Ooh, you go Ah,Ah. A la la la, A la la la) and the slight stutter through the song is great.

I will say that The Veronicas popped up in my music world with their song "Goodbye to You" which was on a commercial (I believe for Yaz) the only thing was that a lot of their music sounded the same.

I still don't know what Yaz is really for. I thank God (Buddah, Ganesh, or whomever is in charge of gender choices) that I'm a guy.

Either way, great song, yet another catchy beat, two pretty girls, okay music video.
